About the role...

Join a vibrant and growing College community in an exciting opportunity to support student learning in our Technology Centre. We are seeking a motivated, hands-on, and highly organised Technology Centre Teaching Assistant with trade skills to join our Secondary College team on a Permanent Part-Time (Term-Time) basis, commencing Term 3, 2026. No more early mornings or FIFO stints - this role will be for 30 hours per week, term-time only and during school hours.

The role of Technology Centre Teaching Assistant is to support the delivery of curriculum and activities in Design Technology (Woodwork and Metalwork) by providing high level support to Design Technology Teachers.

Core duties include:

  • In-class support of students who require more individualised assistance.
  • One-to-one and small group tuition under supervision and direction from the Teaching Team.
  • Assisting teachers with the preparation of teaching materials and modification of existing resources

What we are looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will have a current positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card).  

As a Technology Centre Teaching Assistant at Calvary Christian College, you will also have:

  • A relevant trade certificate or equivalence through demonstrated experience in a related field.
  • Ability to operate and maintain workshop tools and machines.
  • Knowledge, awareness, and the ability to implement Workplace Health and Safety practices.
  • A willingness to support our Christian mission - as a preference, our ideal candidates will be able to provide a Pastoral Reference.
