About the Opportunity...
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and values‑driven Human Resources & Compliance Manager to join our team on a permanent full‑time basis. This is a trusted leadership position at the heartbeat of our College — a confidant to the Executive, a builder of systems, and a safeguard for our people and organisation.
You will lead a well-established HR & Compliance function, supported by two exceptional team members and strong existing systems — ready for someone with contemporary expertise to take it to the next level. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of HR, safety and compliance frameworks across the College
Key Responsibilities...
In this role, you will:
- Coach and advise the Executive and management Team.
- Ensure HR and WHS frameworks align with contemporary best practice and legislation.
- Continue to develop an ISO 31000-aligned risk management framework.
- Act as a fail-safe, identifying risks and deviations before they escalate.
- Serve as the Board and Principal’s eyes and ears across HR, safety and compliance.
- Lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle, employee relations and performance management.
- Oversee policy development, industrial relations and compliance frameworks.
- Drive a proactive and effective Work Health & Safety culture and systems.
- Manage risk, compliance, complaints and privacy functions.
- Provide strategic reporting, insights and advice to senior leadership.

What we are looking for...
To be successful in this role, you will have a current positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain.
You will also bring;
- A demonstrated commitment to Christian leadership, aligned with the College’s mission and values (Ideally, candidates will be able to provide a Pastoral Reference).
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior HR, risk or compliance role.
- Strong, practical expertise in:
- Employee relations and contemporary HR best practice.
- WHS, organisational risk and compliance frameworks.
- Industrial awards and relevant legislation including Fair Work, WHS, Privacy, Workers’ Compensation)
- Proven ability to coach, influence and provide trusted advice to senior leaders and executives.
Highly regarded attributes:
- Experience working within an independent school or education environment.
- Postgraduate qualifications in HR, Law, Business or a related discipline.
