We’re inviting our current Bus Drivers to apply for the role of Bus Driver Team Leader — a position that values your experience, leadership, and heart for serving our students and community.
This position combines regular driving duties with leadership and shift‑based coordination responsibilities to support smooth, safe, and timely morning operations.
About the Role
The Bus Driver Team Leader will:
Lead by Example
- Continue driving your regular routes with professionalism, safety, and student care.
- Complete all pre‑start checks, logs, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain your bus to a high standard and report issues promptly.
Be the Morning Go‑To
- Act as the first point of contact for your fellow drivers during the morning shift.
- Help coordinate attendance, sick calls, and relief drivers.
- Ensure every route is covered and departures run smoothly and on time.
- Provide support, guidance, and encouragement when drivers need it most.
Keep Operations Running Smoothly
- Assist with incident reporting and communication of any disruptions.
- Help ensure compliance with fatigue management and transport legislation.
- Promote safe work practices and uphold College policies and values.
Support Our Fleet
- Monitor vehicle presentation and roadworthiness.
- Assist with maintenance scheduling and liaise with mechanics as needed.
This position is classified at Level 4 under the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award 2020, with a current hourly rate of $33.99 per hour. View the full Position Description here.

You must also hold:
- MR (minimum) QLD Driver's Licence
- Current Driver Authorisation
- Valid Blue Card
